As the system is freezing in safe mode with networking, please try run custom test on the hard drive, here are the steps:
- Switch on the computer, tap F12 at dell logo to enter “One-time boot menu”.
- Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight “Diagnostics” and press enter.
- Select Custom Test and select hard drive.
- If the test fails, please capture the error code and let me know for the next course of action.
If the test passes please try “Last known good configuration” option.
1. Tap F8 key repeatedly at Dell logo for windows "Advanced Boot Options".
2. Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight “Last known good configuration “and press enter.
Check the functionality of the system now and reply with results.
