I posted a "rich formatting" answer which for some reason didn't appear so I'll post again.
The touchscreen exhibited a "ghosting" affect which I believe to be a precursor to the complete non function of the touchscreen. there's a white line down the center of the screen and the "touch depress" highlight at the bottom of the screen, appears as if someone is rapidly touching the screen and dragging towards the bottom. These touch events are passed to whatever app is open so makes the PC almost unusable as it usually drags the mousepointer along with it. I believe if this goes on long enough the ghost touches go away and the mouse is usable but all touch functionality is gone. I think this may be what happens after the RD sessions and by the time I use the machine again leave the touchscreen in an unusable state but the rest of the PC usable.
As far as I know this was a known issue when I first received this PC, I had a call with the tech and they updated some drivers and the issue appeared to go away. I have seen it intermittently since that point and usually just deal with the loss of touch screen functionality.
Let me know if you need any more info.
