I've been considering an upgrade to my Vostro 400 from XP Pro to Win 7. When I ran Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, the only issues were new drivers, so I figured the upgrade was feasible. Recently, when browsing around the Dell website, I came across a page listing Dell computers compatible with Windows 7, and the Vostro 400 is not listed. However, my computer appears to meet all the hardware requirements for Windows 7. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 @ 3.00GHz, the RAM is 4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 307MHz and it has a 233 GB SATA drive. Is this a feasible upgrade for this computer? I don't want to start something where I run into a whole host of problems.
