Re: sata ports not recognized

Hi Itchy73,

I assume the new drive is not greater than 2TB is capacity, since your system probably does not support that drive.

Please try this idea I've seen in another thread. Reboot and enter bios setup (F2)

Step 1: HDD SMART: DISABLED

Step 2: Advanced / Integrated Peripherals / Serial-ATA Configuration;

set the SATA controller to SATA 1+2 - this activates the other 2 SATA ports
