Hi I have a optiplex 760 thats using a dual core pentium (E2220) and I was wanting to upgrade to a more powerful CPU of this socket type (LGA 775).
I was looking to buy a 2.83 GHZ Core 2 Quad, forget the exact name but anyhow I am just not sure if my motherboard can support quad cores.
[ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy]. Can anyone tell me if I can put a Core 2 Quad in my machine? I am using a 630 Watt Power supply so if therre is need for a power increase I can support that. Please list the compatible CPUS that I can put in my Optiplex 760. Thanks!
