I have a Hauppauge WinTV tuner card which I intend to install in the X1 slot of my Dell Dimension 5150 desktop. I also have an external 10GB hard drive from my first computer; it was actually running Windows 95 at that time. 
The hardwear install seems straightforward;The WinTV software looks to be much more complicated. Also, will windows XP read the elderly Hard drive?
I am wondering if there is any advice to be offered on the hardware install, other than wearing a grounding strap (which I have).
Any input would be appreciated.
