Hi
I am running a Dell Precision T7400 with BIOS A11 (latest).
I have recently removed my old stock 320gb 7200rpm drive and replaced it with brand new 250gb SSD.
Now my PC starts up in less than 10 seconds using Windows 8 - it used to be around 45 seconds
I have manually removed the hard drive fan, since it is not needed anymore, i.e. the SSD does not become hot and also to reduce overall noise level of the PC.
However, now I get a really annoying error everytime the PC is started:
Alert! Hard drive fan failure.
Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility.
Press F5 to run onboard diagnostics.
So now I have to press F1 every time I start/reboot the workstation.
I have found no way in BIOS to turn off this annoying alert. Can anybody help (or have ideas for alternative BIOS) which allows to turn off this annoying error?
