Dimension 4700, A,B,C green, D amber with two beeps.

I had pulled this tower out of storage about a month ago, and after having to mess with a loose wire here and there, I had the system up and running, and running quite well all things considered.

This morning, I was unable to boot from a CD, and when attempting to enter the BIOS on start up, I was unable to reach the setup, it never displayed the command to push whatever you need to push to enter setup.  After Googling the problem, and possible fix was to power down, pull the battery from the mother board, and then re-install the battery, and power back up.  That was supposed to fix the problem.

My issue now is that I am getting solid green A,B,C, and then an amber D with two rapid beeps.  Nothing is showing up on the monitor, no error codes or anything, just a black blank screen.

I have pulled out the memory and re-inserted it, I have pulled the video card and re-inserted that, I have unplugged and plugged back in the hard drive, I have replaced the battery on the mother board, and I just compressed air and dusted everything off.  So my question is, how did pulling the mother board battery out of the computer for 30 seconds take a computer that was working perfectly fine, and make it not work at all?

I did try re-seating the battery several times, before and after replacing the battery.

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
