Hi saratogacoach,
Please ensure the BIOS is updated. You can download BIOS from the link : http://dell.to/12KoBwR
Note: Please save any unsaved data. Disconnect all the external peripherals like printer, camera, scanner, external hard drive, flash drive etc.
Also, install the latest chipset drivers for your system from the link : http://dell.to/YfzFd2
Try to disable the 'Allow the device to wake computer' setting and enable it again after rebooting the computer.
If the issue persists then try disabling the USB selective suspend setting. Follow the steps below :
- Press the 'Windows' + 'X' button again and select 'Power Options'
- Select the 'High Performance' plan as active plan
- Click on the 'Change Plan Settings' of the active 'Power Plan'
- Click on 'Change advanced power settings'
- Expand the 'USB Settings' and make sure 'USB Selective suspend setting' is disabled.
Hope this helps.
