I've seen numerous threads on the Studio XPS 9100 Freezing, having BSOD etc. My system started experiencing these same problems around October or November of 2012. It is now January 2013 and I've spent countless hours with Tech Support (who are great by the way) trying to resolve the problem.
Through reading other forums, I saw a suggestion to run the Dell Diagnostic at the boot menu which I did. Here are the results:
Error Code 0123.
Msg: Error Code 2000-0123
Msg: Memory – integrity test failed
Then, after test was continued, the entire computer froze displaying this message. The computer had to be hard reset.

Error Code 2000-0111
Msg: CPU 0 : Invalid TSS exception occurred

Any help would be great. The computer WAS in warranty when this began, and is now OUT of warranty, with an open case number with DEll on the matter.
