I've been having similar problems. Signed up, paid for it, but never got past the DOWNLOAD screen. Everytime I'd hit download, it would begin, then abord. When I tried to sign into my account, once again the only page I got was DOWNLOAD.
Finally got a number to call. They just told me they can cancel for me. Of course, the first time I called, I was disconnected during a transfer. But the second time I got somebody to help me.
