The Optical drive is getting detected in BIOS. Could you please elaborate the issue that you are facing with the optical drive.
Could you please check if you are able to use any other CD/DVD in your computer. If yes, it is an issue with the driver's CD. If no other CD gets detected in operating system, you can check the 'Device Manager', if there is any yellow question mark or red cross on CD/DVD drive.
To check that you can follow the steps below:
- Click on “Start” and right click on “Computer”.
- Click on “Manage”.
- Click on “Device Manager”.
- Under “CD/DVD ROM devices”, you will find the optical driver listed.

Steps to download drivers:
- Click on “Download File”.
- Select “For Single File Download via Browser”.
- Click on “Download Now”.
- Save the driver on your desktop.
- Once the driver is downloaded on the desktop, double click on it and follow the prompts on screen to complete installation.
- Restart your computer.
