I decided to put the machine in a slim MicroATX case, unfortunately my board seems to have the system fan at a very slow speed, I don't know if it goes by the actual temp or if it's set to a level that works with a larger fan that would move more air, so that the 80mm would not be as efficient. If I hook it up to the PSU directly it's loud. I may have a cheap knob fan control sitting around and will probably try that at some point, but what are some other thoughts about how to achieve this balance between cooling efficiency and low noise? Maybe a PWM fan (replacing CPU heatsink with a larger fanless) and put an intake on the side panel?
