The Steady amber on Dell Inspiron 530 indicates, there is a system fault error condition, including the power supply. Only the +5VSB rail on the power supply is working correctly.
I would suggest you to check if all power cables are securely connected to the system board. Also, please check if the main power cable and front panel cables are securely connected to the system board.
In addition, I’d suggest that you follow the steps mentioned below and check for issue resolution.
- Switch off the computer.
- Disconnect the power cable from the wall.
- Press and hold down the power button for 15 seconds.
- Then connect back all the peripherals and check if the system switches ON.
