I too had multiple tries. I bought an xps 8200 which required 5 trips from technicians only to finally receive an 8300 xps as the prior was discontinued. It had a bad hard drive which had to be replaced.
However, I have not had a single hardware issue since this xps 8300 received the second hard drive. I would still buy from Dell because in the world of interchanging parts, there is bound to be trouble along the way. I hope Dell gets its recent woes on the right track because I do not see a better pc out there.
