New out of the box Optiplex 9100.
Controller failed for the raid hard drives. In office server for running my clinic. Had to call in local techs to help Dell diagnose the failure of the controller.
3 hours later Dell confirmed it was the controller. Dell said they would send someone out the following week to change out the motherboard. Meanwhile my clinic is in chaos.
Dell showed up on Monday and installed the new motherboard and left. It then took my private techs 3.5 hours to reinstall windows and all the needed software with new drivers.
This was a new out of the box computer that failed. I had to pay an invoice from private techs for $700. This was solely due to a poor product that failed.
I asked customer service for a credit from Dell for the charges I incurred. The person on the other end put me on hold for 30 minutes and then cut me off. I called again and was finally to get a "no" answer from someone overseas that could not understand my questions or answers.
I have purchased close to 30 different computers for my businesses and personal FROM DELL over the last 20 years!
I am done with them, they are too big to understand or really care.
