Hello XAjayy,
BIOS version 1.0.6 is the latest version for the XPS 730.
Dell XPS 730 was never tested with Windows 7 due to which the drivers for windows 7 are unavailable on Dell Support Site. However, Windows 7 has the capability of installing the generic drivers but for few drivers you would have to look into the manufacturer website of the hardware component.
Drivers for this system is available only for Windows XP and Windows Vista 32 and 64 bit. As I have already mentioned, the system was never tested with Windows 7, I am not sure if the drivers for XP or Vista would work on Windows 7. However, you may try installing the drivers in compatibility mode.
To uninstall the drivers for video card (NVidia), please try the following steps:
- Open Device Manager (Start -- Control Panel -- Device Manager).
- Expand the tab for Display Adapters and right click the nVidia video driver.
- From the drop down menu, select “Uninstall”.
- Ensure to check the box “Delete driver software for this device”.
- Restart the computer.
- Download and install the latest drivers for the video card from the manufacturer's website.
Hope this helps!
