Hi Morten,

If the fan noise is still present, I would suggest you to check the CPU usage as at higher CPU usage the fan will spin at high RPM's resulting into fan noise. You may follow the steps below to identify the process/application consuming the CPU resources :

  • Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete on keyboard
  • Click on Task Manager
  • Click on Performance to check the CPU usage when system is idle
  • Click on Processes
  • Click on CPU to arrange the tab in ascending or descending order

If the the CPU usage is always high, please share the process consuming CPU resources so that we can isolate the application that is causing issues. 

The SSD you have shared is a SATA SSD and if you wish to install this SSD, it will replace the conventional hard drive installed in system. If you wish to replace mSATA SSD, you may refer to link shared earlier.

Please reply with the findings. Will take it further from there.
