have just had the Optiplex 9010 rolled out across the company and it works fine.
However one of the tasks we undertake requires us to project the screen from a Laptop on to a plain monitor. To do this previously we have just used a monitor from a Desktop computer.
Since the Monitor is integrated with the computer in the Optiplex 9010, can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect a laptop to the 9010 (using a VGA cable) and have the 9010 display what is on the Laptop screen? If it can be done what would settings need to be changed? These are leased PC so we would not be able to make any changes to the Hardware.
We have a laptop running Windows 8 and one with Vista.
Any answer would be appreciated.
