I have several WD1000DHTZ drives in a RAID-5 array. They have the same compatibility as any other HDD and will work in the T7600.
They're surprisingly quick in a RAID-5. Obviously not compared to an SSD array but definitely better than 7200RPM. It all depends on your budget and capacity requirements.
I use mine for second tier storage. Primary is an SSD RAID-0 array. If you can afford an LSI RAID card with fastpath I highly recommend it over anything highpoint or Adaptec make. I've also used LSI's cachecade2 feature and that works pretty well (SSD in front of slower spinning disk array).
