Hi,
I should be grateful for advice/opinions on a problem I have with my Dell Inspiron One 2310 All in One Desktop PC - <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy> which has been brilliant for 18 months. However, I've been away for 3 months, so the machine has been switched off for some time. When I turned it back on, it booted up all the way to the Windows 7 welcome window showing the small 'Dell' box in the middle of the screen which I need to click on to enter my password. The mouse arrow appears but is not responsive when I move the mouse, there is a small image on the bottom left of the screen which I think shows the 'loading' process and it is stuck showing a three quarter completed circle. On the opposite side of the screen (bottom right) is a 'power' button which shows a red colour. Usually, this turns green during the boot up process. I've tried disconnecting all peripherals and rebooting but there is no change.
I've also tried pressing F2 and choosing 'start in safe mode' but the same thing happens. I then tried pressing F12 and ran a full Diagnostics, including doing the extended test for the 'Test System' section but sadly, all to no avail, as no problems were identified I'm still stuck! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards.
