It must not have been a totally clean drive as windows booted and and it configured hardware. But now it's been hung up saying "setup is applying system settings" for the last 45 minutes.
I waited and then the system started to load original programs that came with the ordered system.
Wow.... it seems like they sent me a drive with an image of the original HDD that came with my system.
To avoid any confusion or conflict between the new primary drive and the Data drive I unplugged it when I booted up the new drive, but I am now going to power down and connect the secondary drive.
When I went to "Computer Management" and looked at the new HDD info, it has 3 partitions... OEM, OS C:, and Recovery.
This is all unexpected as I was anticipating a completely clean drive.
No problem though. I'll do an "In Place" upgrade form win7 Home Premium to Ultimate and start loading back some more programs.
But I can't remember how to do the 'In Place Upgrade".
I will also MS Office 2010 Pro version and more......
