Re: BSOD, NVSTOR.SYS message

Always include the version of Windows in your posts.

2000-0141 means the hard drive isn't being detected. Possible HDD...??

Reboot and press F2 to open BIOS setup. Copy down all the current settings. Make sure the SATA port where the HDD is connected hasn't been disabled in BIOS setup. And check that the boot hard drive is first in the boot sequence.

Then, power off, unplug, disconnect all peripherals. Press/hold power button for ~15 sec. Open the case and carefully reseat the power cable between HDD and power supply, and SATA data cable at both ends between the motherboard and HDD. Remove the motherboard battery and press/hold power button again for ~30 sec. Reinstall the battery (right-side-up!). If the battery is more than ~2-3 years old, this might be a good time to replace it.

See if it boots now with only mouse, monitor and keyboard connected. If it boots, press F2 and go into BIOS setup. Confirm that all the settngs match what you wrote down or make the changes and be sure to save them before exiting.
