I was able to boot in safe mode once. but using the system repair disc did not solve the problem. I do not have a windows 7 disk. I have tested all of the memory and all of the hardware, everything passed. I have run start up repair with the system repair disc. I have tried system restore, and it will tell me “system restore did not complete successfully” however when the computer restarts, windows will boot. BUT I have to go through the entire system restore process everytime to get windows to boot. and once the computer sits idle for nay length of time, it goes back to a balck screen and i have to start all over again. I had a full system back up on a USB hard drive, and attempted a full back up the other night, but i don't thiunk it completed. now when I plug it in and try to access it, it is telling me I need to format—location is not available—I:\ is not available –data error(cyclic redundancy check) ugh !!!
