I have a DELL Dell Studio XPS 8100 Desktop. Recently it would not boot, recovery on the hard drive, recovery disc, and repair disc all would not allow get any further than the BLUE Screen with the Bird and Twig picture. I took it into the Geek Squad and they were able to run a utility to correct a disc sector issue and the computer now seems to function, but I have a couple of issues.
1. I am unable to complete a backup if I select the option Include a system image of the drives: RECOVERY, OS (C:)
2. I am also unable to create one using the Create a system image
They both fail with I/O errors.
A normal data backup of the User files works fine.
