This does not work on a newer computer with a dynamic boot menu that lists all currently available options.
Windows 8 has a backwards method of booting to a boot disk in the optical drive. PC Settings, General, Advanced Startup, reboot and select the from the boot options menu. However--wipedrive cd should not be used to format the drive. The windows 8 recovery options must be used to format and do a clean install. Go to PC Settings, General, Remove Everything and reinstall windows. That will return the computer to factory settings.
