Yes, you can add another "Intel Xeon E5420" processor (which I think is the best way to go about adding the extra processor). Since, you are planning to upgrade with the same processor there will be no issues as far as compatibility is concerned. Also as the existing PSU (power supply unit) is of 1000W there should be sufficient power to support the extra processor.

Yes, just follow the instructions provided in the manual (refer the link below) and install the processor. The processor should work fine.
