I have an Inspiron one 2330 non touch screen. I purchased mine at the end of August. It has done this since day one. So far they have replaced the mother board. The screen continued to go dark.Dell referred me to Microsoft. Mico told me to have them update the bios and driver update. Dell did that, and several calls later they are telling me they need to order another mother board and hard drive and send someone to install.
They keep sending me CYA emails making it seem like they have fixed the problem. I called again today to tell them it has not been resolved even though I got a phone call and email today, indicating they think it had been.
I also told them I had the problem prior to Windows 8. I am writing this so anyone can see their is a problem with this computer model and they have not addressed it. Hope this helps someone. Bunky
