I understand the XPS8300 can use non-Dell power supplies, but before I get one with more wattage I need help in understanding a few things.
1) If I get a PSU that has an on/off switch will I have to use that switch instead of the power button on the top of the case?
2) Considering the following info, what should my minimum wattage be? Modular or not?
i7-26000, 16GB ram, 1TB hard drive, 500GB hard drive, GTX 660Ti video using two monitors, whatever DVD writer that came stock, CH Eclipse Yoke (USB powered). I use this computer primarily for Flight Simulator X.
I think I'm on borrowed time using the Dell supplied 460W power supply.
