XPS one 2710 touchscreen stops working after remote desktop session

For some reason after 1 or 2 remote desktop sessions to the XPS One the touchscreen stops working on the XPS One itself.

The XPS One is running Win 8 x64, has the latest BIOS and touch drivers.

I see event in the System event log like so...

  • A touch device does not support the maximum count property.

  • A multi-touch device reported inconsistent contact information.

  • A pointer device did not report a valid unit of angular measurement.

  • A pointer device reported a bad angular logical range.

If it matters, I am using the RDP client on Mac OSX Snow Leopard.

Has anyone else seen this issue with any other RD client or OS?

Is there a way to diagnose touchscreen driver issues, logs etc.?

Is there a way to reset the touchscreen driver without having to reboot the system?

Let me  know if more information is required.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
