Thanks for your reply. I replaced the motherboard battery with a brand new one. Unfortunately the machine still gives me 5 beeps. I enter the biossetup with F2 and when I tried to change the date to the correct one, the screen went black and the show was over.I powered the machine down and resetted the cmos again but this time it starts with 5 beeps but it doesn't give me the oppurtunity the press F2, only a black screen, Any ideas, suggestions much appreciated !
