Jesus ChristHey.
I'm looking into making an affordable gaming machine and have found the Dell Vostro 460 to be a pretty good deal. I can get one for less then $450 brand new with the following specs:

I know the integrated graphics is pretty bad but according to Dell this system has an x16 PCI express slot so I can simply buy a modern graphics card for it. Although I'm certainly not new to computers I am new to gaming on them. Would this be a good setup? What would be the best graphics card to buy for this system that would be compatible? Would I need to also upgrade the power supply in order to fit a decent graphics card.
Due to cooling restrictions, you can't make a high-end gaming machine out of it, but it can be updated for mid-range gaming performance with more memory and a discrete graphics card like the 7870. You may need a power supply upgrade, too.
