Good evening guys, firstly, I'm new to here and I really do not know where to post this question (Dell forums aren't exactly user-friendly to newbies like me).
My Hybrid had recently ran into some problems and I would really appreciate help for I'm still a kid and I'm not exactly an IT expert. Anyways, here's the problem-
One fine day, I was happily surfing Facebook and the Update Notification Popped out. Naturally, I was pissed with that Update Info and I posted the Update to 4hours later. So, I continued surfing the Internet and later I decided to play a FPS game. Halfway during the FPS game, it froze and I manually restarted the PC by holding the Power Button.
When the computer restarted, the usual Dell Studio Hydrid page flashed, then the Microsoft Corporation Loading. After that, the Windows logo flashed and then on the screen, it read : stage 3 of 3 : Configuring Updates 0% completed, Do not turn off computer. After that, the screen simply went into Power Saving mode and it restarted again. This restart continued over and over again, the Stage 3 of 3, Configuring updates remained as 0% and I was unable to login into my Username.
Can anyone assist me with this problem? I have a project due this week and I'm sure that my teacher would make mince meat out of me if I'm unable to hand it in.
Information :
Dell Hybrid
Windows Vista Home Premium
Running Norton, updated version
I would greatly appreciate all forms of help. Thank you.
Regards,
A depressed Gordon
