I just setup my new PC this weekend and have an one annoying issue that I can not seem to work around.
I have a 3TB external USB hard drive connected to the back USB ports on the Inspiron 660 but if it is plugged in while I attempt to restart/start it will just hang at the Dell Logo and not boot. Once I unplug the external USB HD and restart it will boot into Windows just fine. Once in Windows I can plug in the drive and it mounts just fine in Windows.
What I have done:
Move to another USB port - Fail
Move the SATA HD to first boot priority - Fail
Disable USB booting - Fail
Disable everything in the boot list except SATA HD - Fail
Anything else to try rather than turning off the external storage until the PC boots?
Thanks
