Hi Ron, thanks for the fast response.
I had this problem with the original Dell mouse that came with the computer after several months of using the computer. So I figured it was the mouse, so i got another mouse. It slowly happened again, but very sporadic. then over the past few weeks it got worse. I never contacted Dell, since my warranty was over and usually from past experience with Dell on another computer, they would not talk to me until I purchased an extended warranty or a one call one fee payment.
So I remember I had a wireless mouse on my netbook. I hooked it up and guess what, no issues. Not sure why I didn't try that in the first place.
So from reading other peoples messages here and other websites, I figured it was the mouse, so i went and got another wireless mouse, Logitech, hooked it up and no issues, knock on wood so far.
I think since I am clicking the mouse for 12 to 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, I must have killed it.
so in the end, it was a dieing mouse.
