i'm using inspiron 1460.
i got stuck while booting ,booting bar stuck at 3/4. no boot option is displayed by pressing f12/f2, instead it gets highlighted. i can hear some sound from my hard disk. dell logo is displayed.
it all happened because i was trying to repair partion table of my harddisk, as it showed whole disk as unallocated space.i had 2 os ubuntu and 7.
ubuntu showed grub rescue. at this time booting was completed.-boot option are also displayed
i tried gparted along with partion magic linux disto but no change to partion , lastly i simply tried presice puppy distro and i was able to boot puppy, but was not able to shutdown with and without saving change. so off my lap and finally got stuck in booting
