OK just got back from trying to do the Essentials load. As with Defender, McAfee, Windows Updates and anything else-it wouldnt let me do anything as messing with that in Windows.  So I decided to pull the video card and run monitor directly off the MOBO.  The only thing plugged in was monitor, KB and Mouse. Upon applying power, it just sat there BEEPING LOL. So I plugged the Video card back in and powered back up using F12 to boot from the Recovery discs again.

I did notice this that I wasnt seeing before.  After inserting disc and hitting enter it says "hit any key to boot from DVD Drive. (I wasnt catching this cause it flew through it to fast. So I did that I got the Recovery screen asking to Recover from Factory or the I made the DVDs.  The previous time I did it to factory. This time I did it to the DVDs and it said it would erase all files and setting that were on the system-so I ran with that to see how it does.

It took disc 1 of 2 and started normally with the process bar chugging away.  The monitor went to sleep somewhere in the proces (Imagine that LOL). I let it go and didnt touch it. DVD#1 ejected and I promptly put in 2 and sent it in.  The system took back off installing and ejected DVD#2.  I closed the DVD drive and it is sitting there doing what ever with the monitor asleep. Im pretty sure its wanting to run thru the initial setup as first use but I cant see where its at or what its asking for.  Prior to this with all the trying was to just kill the power conditioner I have it plugged into and boot up which would take me directly to that point.  We know just killing the power is a BAD thing but what else can ya do?

So anyway, I think Ill let it sit like that for the night and see where it is in the morning. Im sure the monitor will still be asleep.

The software that comes with the Barracudas is a Seagate & Acronis to make set up easy whether you are cloning a drive, adding storage, or doing an MBR OS Drive.

These are the 2 new drives I added -

1 for Operating system and other software

1 for Storage of Projects and other files
