kkcloakMy old 5150 mobo has been giving code 2-4 [on board video] error for a few weeks now, instead of replacing with same i tough maybe i could upgrade to a "5200 / E520" mobo and upgrade the cpu to a core2duo [have a spare here].
The IO shield is stamped into the chassis on those models, so you can't swap in another motherboard.
You might try updating the BIOS to the latest version and replacing the motherboard battery. If that doesn't work, an inexpensive 6450 video card will provide a huge increase in performance over the stock graphics.
