i am trying to reinstall windows on my computer but the cd drive in my computer does not read dvd(because it is old).so i have a external drive plugged in by usb but it does not show up in my boot menu. if it helps at all i had to put a new hard drive in and so i cant get all the way in but before my last hard went bad the usb external cd/dvd drive worked fine and the computer did recognize when i put a cd in it.
